No problems for a couple years with this drive by in the past month or so, I've been getting "Windows Delayed Write Failed" on occasion. When trying to run DVD's through DVDdecrypter, it dies out and won't write files to the hard drive. Recently, I'm getting Photoshop CS3 scratch disk writing problems, so I'm wondering if the disk is bad.

I ran a disk utility on it and it found one error and repaired it. Tried all the fixes at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330174 but to no avail.

Looks like it's time to replace the HD but before I go through all that, I was hoping to get some opinions here first. Thanks.

i use photoshop myself and have come across this scratch disk problem. This occured for me when the hard drive was full or near full and photoshop runs out of space .......I deleted some files and backed up others and hence freed most of the hard disk and computer was fine... maybe it is same for you or maybe it is something else in your case.

The above problem was on my computer at work. on my home computer i also get delayed write errors and have been unable to solve it...see my other post
