ST33000651AS problem

Does anyone know if there is a firmware upgrade for this drive?

I am using 6 of these drive along with 6 ST300DM001's in an Unraid box, everything works fine until

the array spins up from standby, the DM001's come up ok but the 651's return I/O errors and go off

line, in order to get the drive's back I have to power the array off and then back on.

The 651's are fine as long as they are spun up but if they are ever spun down and then back up then a

server restart is required. the firmware on the drives is CC44 and CC45.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: ST33000651AS problem

Have you checked the download finder to see if there's a firmware update available for your drive model?

https://apps1.seagate.com/downloads/request.html

Re: ST33000651AS problem

I checked for a firmware update, none available, I also tried to open a support case with tech support,

I got no response, other than a message wanting me to take a survey on their service, you can guess

how that went.
