ST330622AS - Hang at "verifying dmi pool data"

[ Edited ]
Firstly, I tried the recommended bios and, winxp recovery solutions with no effect. Please help

The Idea:
Today I decided to add a 3rd primary partition to my harddrive so I could install another XP os.

The Steps:
-Used Norton partition magic to create a 3rd partition as primary
-Reboot for partiotion magic to begin, and complete job
    -Verified partitions: (c: \120gb), (i: \10gb), (f: \130gb) In that order
    -Shutdown computer
    -Boot from XP setup cd
    -Started setup

Problems:
-XP setup shows 2 partions, one about 900mb, abd 2nd (c: ) as about 139gb (half the actual size of the drive).
    -Not showing 2 other partions: (f: )130gb and (i: )10gb

What I did:
    Cancelled installation. Reboot computer.

Main problem:
Computer now hangs at "Verifying dmi pool data"

Fixes that had no effect
-Boot XP recovery console, use "fixmbr" command
-Boot XP setup, use (f6) to install SATA AHCI controller, use "fixmbr" command
    -Knowledge base article> Solution 2

That's it. I'm sorry for my ignorance, as I should have known better than to install xp in the manner than I did. Thank you for any help, or ideas.

Re: ST330622AS - Hang at "verifying dmi pool data"

Update:
I used the windows recovery console again with the "fixboot c:" command. Now I get this message: "NTDLR is missing Press any key to restart".

Any help appreciated.
