When I install the HD in my computer and turn it on, nothing happens but a very brief flicker of the power light and the fan spins ever so slightly. If I put the old HD in, the computer starts normally. It seems anytime the power cable is inserted in the drive, it causes the computer to do nothing. I have tried it in 4 computers and all have the same results. Anyone have a similar probelm?
It's a Seagate Baracuda internal 160 GB. The computer won't even come on when the power plug is in so it can't be reconized by the bios. The computer does nothing.
No, but I was thinking of trying that. I tried this drive in another computer last night and no matter what computer I put it in, they will not even turn on when the power is connected. But if I put the original drive in, which is going bad, the computer fires right up.
