Seagate Barracuda ST3300822AS problems with AHCI mode?

I have an old Seagate Barracuda ST3300822AS 7200.9 300 GB SATA hard drive, but when I want it to run in AHCI mode my pc blanks after a few minutes or won't even start up.

 

My question can my hard drive run in AHCI and native or at least one of these?

 

All SATAII drives should run AHCI and native perfectly.

 

I hope some specialist can help me out.
