My hdd

ST3500413AS

P/N 9YP142-303

is making clicking sound.

SOmetime it gets start up without making any sound sometime it dont and boot screen show "no boot media found please insert any boot media or click any key"

SOmetime in between work it start making sound and i saw a blue dump screen.

Some time it works flawlessly without any problem but irritating when happens.

Pc config....

Intel c2d e7400 2.9 ghz

2 gbhynix ram

Gigabyte Nivida 9400gt 1 gb graphic card

wd 320 sata

samsung dvd writer

motherboard msi ni996

We would recommend that you test the drive with our diagnostic and repair program Seatools for Windows. That will let you know if the drive is failing or not. It will also run a repair. You may also want to test the drive on another computer to see if you get the same results. Here is a link to Seatools for Windows. On the link select your Operating System under the download tab.
