Serial ATA Controller driver for ST3500418AS

I just formated my PC and looking at the devices i noticed i was missing a driver for the Serial ATA Controller (as you can see in the screenshot i added.) I looked through support but couldnt find the driver. My HD is a Barracuda ST3500418AS, any idea where i could find this driver? If you need any more information please ask, can't say i know much when it comes to hard drives.

Hi the Serial ATA Controller is hardware on the motherboard. It makes the spot you plug your hard drive into work nothing to do with the hard drive as hard drives do not have drivers. You need to find out what motherboard you have and go to there site and download that driver. If it is a prebuilt like hp it should have been on the restore disk's if not you need to go to there site.
