Re: TVS Info

How do you ppl do it, an IDE drive has a notch to prevent it, a sata drive has an L shape to stop it happening, if you've fried it, bin it, 250 drives are so yesterday and cheap to replace anyway, best learn to be more cereful, though I still don't know how you achieved this simply plugging in.

Re: TVS Info

Even though your post didn't helped any way of form.

It is 250 GiG HDD, Which is perfect for me to do Testing off OS

By throwing away this drive and getting new one gives me nothing less then $50 burn in wallet!

Now question how I was manage to do it

Well it is my Ext E-Sata drive where comes out from one of back face plate off my case which has female Molex pwr connection

I accidently barely touch the pwr convertor Molex to Sata back word on Molex side .... that was cause the burn of TVs

so now you know, would you know where and how I can get a replacement of that TVs ?

Thanks

Re: TVS Info

A 5V TVS diode can be substituted with an SMAJ5.0A, and a 12V diode with an SMBJ12A.

They can be ordered from Farnell, Mouser, Digikey.
