What drive can replace SATA ST160828AS (Barracuda 7200.7)

I'm seeing a Seagate 160GB, SATA, ST3160813AS (Barracuda 7200.11) which looks like it might work - but I don't know about the .11 vs .7.  I need to replace the crippled drive, ST3160828AS (7200.7), but it is not longer available thru Dell nor Seagate nor Frys.

This is from my Dell Dimension, xps 200 - which is almost 4 years old.

Thank you,

Hello EM_JAY - welcome to Seagate Forums.

Either Drive will work with your PC.

HOWEVER - may I recommend you opt for a Maxtor?
Also - if this is not possible - try to get a .7 rather than a .11.

A Pentium III, 256MB RAM and 10GB HDD are needed to run Windows XP.
The power of 3 C64 was needed to fly to SPACE.
Something is wrong with our world...
And its called WINDOWS!

Emm_Jay, you need not restrict the replacement drive to a capacity of 160GB. You should be able to go all the way to 2TB, unless you have some strange BIOS issue.
