Why can’t I see the full capacity of my drive?

I have a Momentus 5400.3 hard drive installed in a notebook computer. The capacity of the drive is described as 160GB. After formatting 100% of the drive with NFTS the capacity given by Disk Manager is 149.05 GB.  If  go to Properties menu for model ST916082A the capacity is 152,625GB.  Why can I see the entire 160 GB?
