driver needed for xp install

Hi

 

instaling onto a ST9120822A

but i need the driver so i can slipstream a new XP instal cd

 

cant seem to find it on Seagate support

 

where can I get the driver plz

If you need a driver, you have to get it from the manufacturer of the motherboard or the SATA interface chips used on it. This is mainly necessary if you are configuring your system to use modes such as RAID or AHCI,  or are using a third party controller, such as those made by Promise.There are usually settings in the motherboard bios that must be set for the desired mode.

 

If you are installing a single drive by itself,  the default Microsoft driver usually works well, though without enabling all of the available features or providing the highest performance.
