installing Barracuda 7200.12

I am trying to replace my 40gb Barracuda 7200.2 with a Barracuda 7200.12 500 gb but the connection sockets are a different size.

What (sata) do I need to connect my new hard drive with my old motherboard?

Re: installing Barracuda 7200.12

You'll need a power converter unless your psu has the correct ones already, these are cheap http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/cables/adaptersandgenderchangers/Novatech/CDL-414.html

IThis one changes the data cable http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/cables/adaptersandgenderchangers/novatech/nl-satadualadap.h...

Or you could keep the 40 gig one running the O/S and use one of these  http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/components/harddrives-external/harddriveenclosures/icybox/i... to add the sata drive to it
