I'm sorry I'm having a job fully understanding what you are saying, don't worry I know it's a language barrier and your English isn't bad at all.

It seems if you've had a bang and I suspect you've fried the HDD, you could try a swap of PCB's if you can find the exact same drive board.

If it is still working, listed in bios and doing the usual until you get a message of  boot fail or similar?

If it is you have probably destroyed the MBR.

Two options I'd try

1 - Go to the recovery console in Windows setup and write a new MBR, this will probably fail because you have 3 on that drive, not that it ever seems to work anyway, although Win 7 might just be able to save it.

2 - Slave it into another working O/S and use a recovery program to get the data back then clean the disk off and start fresh, if you decide to do this you'll need to buy a proggy, they aren't free, I suggest you get a trial which will say if it finds anything, if it does and the data is important it'll be worth the spend, if it doesn't you know not to waste good money on it, I'd recommend PowerDataRecovery for this, it's the only one I know that does what it says on the tin.

Re: seagate barracuda 7200.10 BSY state??

the only messege that i got from bios it's  that... find my hdd ( prim master) "SMART data Capable and OK"

and that's it...no more info and the system don't go farther ... i try this in 2 diferent PC...same stuff.

but i went to a man that  recovery data via jumper ...some company that make professional recovery... i don't need  a recovery...i need to work again....

that man told me that he may make  a fabrication format ( like it's format from the factory)....

if that man make this format fabrication it's possibile that my hdd to work again?

..to go in the boot section ?

i don't know that mbr stuff ... not my domain

Re: seagate barracuda 7200.10 BSY state??

What happens if you try to reload Win 7, do you get as far as it asking you to format it and make a partition?

If you can it's a simple case of a reload.

If not......

I think the guy you are talking to is suggesting a FW flash, and that will probably be the only thing that will get it going again if it's not damaged.

Have a look at the PCB to see if there is any burn damage on it.

Re: seagate barracuda 7200.10 BSY state??

i can not run any sistem beucause  the PC don't go any farther that preboot stuff...

the system do this:  it's recognizing the HDD ...show the name of HDD  and has  "SMART capability STATUS OK"   .... but  don't go in boot section   so i  can not run any system.....

but how i can solve this problem  if the system don't let me  boot? ...

i put the HDD to another PC   together with other seagate HDD ... do the same stuff.... recognizing the first HDD.... with smart capability ok..... and go to my hdd  recognizing the name of hdd   the smart capability and stop...the haddisk stop....have power but not go  in the boot section ...or boot meniu..or bios...

the PC it's not crash... because  i pres  num key... capps lock  ..and the leb it's open..or close ..

the problem it's that i encrypt an partition....and  in the harddisk some stuff it's change.  but i don't encrypt the  C partiton  ..so i can not understand what happend ...

anyway I am going tobuy  an HDD.. ...seagate off course :smileyvery-happy:  because i like this label

p.s.:   i have warranty  to the brocken hdd until 2012 ..but i  think the company that i bought  it's close ( i am from romania.... you understand)

thx  Cantbecanit     to try   understand my problem. my respects .. big up :smileywink:

Re: seagate barracuda 7200.10 BSY state??

Dear ,

I read your reply to the post regarding swaping a PCB from a dried Hard Drive.

Let me tell you that I am in the same case and looking for a five years old hard drive:

Hard Drive SEAGATE Barracuda 3,5" 7200RPM IDE 160GB

S/N Model: 5LS1NTTW
(don't pay attention to this)

Secondary: ST3160812A

P/N: 9BD032-505

Firmware: 3.AAA

So where to buy on-line this very specific Hard Drive?

Thank you in advance for your endeavors.

Cordially
