Im sorry if I missed this anywhere but I read the read me first and did a forum search.
My drive will not be recognized by the BIOS on boot, and it will hang on Windows 7 64 post.
At first I thought it was the dreaded BSY issue so I after hours of fiddling got my CA-42 to work(the gnd seems to not be in the same position as other drives). In hyperterminal it accepted all commands and performs fine. Even going through that it still wont show in the BIOS using the SATA. So I bught a USB to SATA adapter and the drive shows in Windows but SeaTools won't performa any checks. Right now Windows is performing a scan and error check. How can I get this drive to be recognized in the BIOS?

Sorry for the delayed reply. I tried that, the most it would do is get past the Windows post and go into Check Disk which ended up ruining my MBR. After restoring the MBR I rehooked up the usb adapter cable and am now transferring files, albeit slow as heck. Would doing a full format possibly get it to work normal again? I have a feeling its something wrong with the control. Are there any diagnostics I can do while in hyperterminal? SeaTools doesn't work for it as it doesn't recognize the drives serial number for some reason, although TestDrive does.
