the partition will be changed to read only after a period of running?

I bought the hard driver one month agaio,it's ST3320613AS(320g)with firmware CC2F
but I don't know whether I need to upgrade it's firmware,because I found you have released one firmware out.

and I also find the partition will be changed to read only automatically after a period of running in my ubuntu system 8.04.2
Please help me to check it
