Every test I have ran on my new drive states it passed (one error was found but successfully repaired at one time). However, when choosing to run the write zeros advanced option it has failed twice.
I believe it is failing because it runs for a while (about 40% the first time and 3% the second) and then it throws text up on the screen telling me that I may review a log file (that does not exist) and leaves me at a C:\ prompt. The SeaTools screen is still visible, but the dos writing overlaps it.
Is this drive bad?
I purchased it because another drive I purchased 3 months ago is now making clicking noises. I am hoping to get it running long enough to pull data off before I RMA it. I just want to make sure the drive I move everything off to has a better chance of lasting.
Thanks.
