Black Armor 400 File Structure

Hi,

 

I've got a Black Armor 400 with 2 1.5tb barracuda drives. Last night i attempted to clear the recycle bin chache on the primary share, restarted the device; just before the shutdown sequence it reported that HDD1 was missing on the LCD, it restarted and now it cant find the disk volume. The disks are set to RAID1.

 

I cant believe that there is any way it's removed all the data so i need a way of viewing it on Windows or Linux. Does anyone know of an application that i can view the data in any form, i dont mind if its just flat files that i have to go through, i just need to get some very important information off the device.

 

Any help would be greatly apprecieated.

what I'd do: connect the disks to a linux machine and try reading them there, maybe configuring a software raid on these devices... but I'd try a backup first... somehow!

they're a linux box inside so I'd start playing in this area...
