Black Armor NAS 110 - OSx PROBLEMS

Hello community,

just got the NAS 110 and it is not working on my Mac OSX (10.7.2).

I can't load the BlackArmor Discovery software (it crashes) and even access through Seagate Global Access.

I notice that i need to update the firmaware manually, but how I can do it without having access to the hardware?

Please help.

Thank u.

funny, I just reported the exact same problem a week ago - check previous threads. No one answered my problem. The discovery software crashes and I'm running an iMac. Please lets get this issue addressed....

Re: Black Armor NAS 110 - OSx PROBLEMS

Hey, Seagate - wake up !

I have the same problem with BA Discovery on MAC OS X 10.6.8 of my customer.

When you check the support page for BA, the latest Discovery installer supports (only) MAC OS X 10.4.2 !!!

So, after installing the SW on my computer (MAC OS X 10.7.4) I went to the Help -> Software update and it states: ... when you open MAXTOR Central Axis™ Manager ...

This can give you a picture about the ... of the SW itself and how much they care about MAC users at Seagate :smileysurprised:(((.

I am really disappointed, because I sold the NAS (BA220) to my valuable customer a year ago and it never worked fine since that time ....

Re: Black Armor NAS 110 - OSx PROBLEMS

Guys, you know that you actually don't need the discovery software crud? All you need is the NAS' ip address, you type it in your browser and voilà. I'm not familiar with mac os but on windows to map shares i can eaither type the ip address in the "execute" field or select the NAS in the network devices.
