Hi,
my Backup wont work with Time Machine and Mountain Lion. TM always says that the Volume is not available. But if i choose the Volume NAS2TB_Backup it connects after typing Admin and PW but when TM want do a backup, there come the message that the volume is not available.
I use the newest Firmware 1000.1301 (but it also wont work with the older one).
Will there be an update soon? I need my Backup.

Okay, i will hope there will be an update soon because the NAS 110 doesn´t work with ML (10.8.0) until now.
ML will be released in 1-2 weeks ... i bet there will be an update from Seagate in 2-3 MONTHS ![]()
I will sell my NAS 110 and this will be the last NAS from Seagte. I will look for a Synology (much better support for Mac OS X).

Any updates on this topic. I'm waiting to upgrade unitl I hear the NAS 110 is compatible with Mountain Lion. I don't want to go throught the same headache I experienced when upgrading to Lion last year. Why can't Seagage perpare firmware before general availablity of OS X updates? It's been available to devs for quite some time now. I'm kicking myslef for not spending the exta $$ on a Time Capsule.

The Synology NAS has already an Update.
As i said, that was my first and my last Seagate NAS. I hope there will be an Update, but not in 3 months ... Mountain Lion is not dropping out of heck. It´s almost half a year that it was announced in summer 2012 ...

Agreed. This is my first and last Seagate NAS.
It sure would be nice if Seagate could at least post a status update (i.e. we're aware of the problem and working on it. We expect a release date of...). No communication, however.
Generally, I wouldn't complain, but Seagate advertises it as Time Machine compatible. I believe it took 3 - 4 months after Lion's release before Seagate released a fix. I cannot wait that long again.

Same problem with BlackArmor NAS 220. Today, Apple released Mountain Lion being available for testing for long time. Seagate NAS is NOT Mountain Lion compatible - you see back-ups and can go to TimaMachine back-ups, however, it is not possible to back-up to TimeMachine from Mountain Lion. Same problems with Lion and it took Seagate months to fix it (http://forums.seagate.com/t5/BlackArmor-NAS-Networ
I am totally disapointed, my last Seagate NAS...

I don't know about anyone else but this reccomendation did not work for me. I can still move file to and from but I haven't been able to back up since the release of Mountain Lion. It can't be that hard to push out a firmware upgrade.
