Hello,

We upgraded a newly purchased NAS 220 to firmware version 2000.1231, but ever since then, whenever i try to access the drive using \\IP_ADRESS we can never access it, we immediately get error 0x80004005, can anyone please assist.

I solved this by returning the device to the Workgroup instead of Domain, but whenever it put it back to domain, i face the same issue.

Any ideas before I do RMA?

I have another problems afteri upgrade to 2000 1231, we can't log in ftp server with IE explorer and some ftp tools.

it said 550 permission denied even I input the admin account.

Hello everyone!

My Seagate BA 220 worked fine for many month. Now I did the update 2000.1231 and (as happend to other user here) the ftp doesn't work any more. I tried any kind of configuration (also changing to WORKGROUP) but no chance. Any help will be welcome, because I need this for my job.

For me this seems to be happening only when joining the device to a Windows 2008 DC, I tried the same NAS with that firmware on Windows 2003 and Windows 2000, I can access the NAS using the IP address, on Windows 2008 I can only access it using the DNS name.
