Hi!
I´m about to get crazy over my NAS110
I have read the entire manual plenty of times and this thread also and tried all that is written but with no success.
I have enabled global access in my admin account, then I created a user account for my self and according to the manual that says I have to enable global access in the user account also and not just in the admin account and I tried to enable the global access in the user account. But it says: Unable to update. Make sure that a Seagate Global Access account exists and that the email address and password are correct.... But it is correct! Otherwise I could´nt log into the webaccess page with my user account so now im stucked!?
Forgot to write that I also set the user account with Grant Administration Rights.
Can someone please help me..
While im writing I would like to ask another thing:
If I want to get things from my friends computer that has no internet connection so I cant upload things to my drive, can I bring my NAS110 and use it as an normal external harddrive and just drag and drop thingd to it.

I had the same problem "Unable to update. Make sure that........" but i solved it following the steps below.
a) Set the NAS to DHCP client to take IP itself
b) Go to the LAN section of NAS and copy somewhere the DNS address. (here was my problem).
c) When switch back to static IP mode also enter the DNS address NAS has in step b
don't know much about networks but this looks like solving my issues ![]()

A REAL newbie question: I just got an NAS 110. Set it up and it is available to all computers on my home network. I also successfully (I think) enabled Global Access. To access the NAS 110 remotely, what do I type in as the URL?? I'm sure it should be obvious, but I can't find the info anywhere in the manual. (Needless to say, this is my first NAS).
Thanks.

Hello,
I you enabled Global Access with a Private Share on the NAS then you go to http://globalaccess.seagate.com to login to your Global Access Account.
Click Here for a KB Article on "How to set up Global Access for BlackArmor NAS [214135]".

I am trying to set up my NAS 110 for Web access. I first created the Seagate Global Access Account. I then logged into Seagate BlackArmor Discovery for my NAS 110 as the Admin. I enabled Global Access. I then logged in as one of the users and went to the Access / Global Access page and clicked the Enable button. I then entered my Seagate Global Access Account email address and password. After that another browser window opened. This IE browser window has the URL "http://192.168.1.20/admin/web_access_preference.ph

Attention All:
Seagate has a new Global Access Website now. its called seagate.tappin.com. It has Android and iOS app to access through smartphones and Tabs. Anyway, It seems the old service " globalaccess.seagate.com " is not workinh anymore or at least didnt work for me when i tried to set up a new Blackarmor.
You should upate your NAS firmware in order to use the new service. new firmware is not published publicly ye, so you need to call Seagate tech support and they will send you instruction and link to new firmware download (Thanks to Seagate great tech support).
