Re: HDD Replace in a NAS 220

Yes, it works.

The drives must be empty, they will automatically formatted and the OS will be copied on it.

I successfully tried this with 1 TB Seagate 5900 LP drives, but other vendors may also work.

Re: HDD Replace in a NAS 220

I have a NAS110.  I replaced the orginal hard drive with a new Windows formatted Seagate hard drive, but it doesn't seem to work.  The Status light keeps blinking blue and the Hard Drive light remains solid amber.  You said "The drives must be empty, they will automatically formatted and the OS will be copied on it.". Is my problem due to my Windows formatted hard drive?  How do I make the drive empty?  Thanks.
