After Apple released today Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion, I installed it and discovered that Seagate, again, was not prepared - TimeMachine is not working. I can access the back-ups but I am not able to back-up. Same issue was here with Lion (http://forums.seagate.com/t5/BlackArmor-NAS-Networ
I really do not understand Seagate, Mountain Lion builds have been available for months... Totally disappointed with Mac support.
I hope, Seagate will fix it asap.

It is so poor for Seagate ... ML Dev Previews are over 5 Months in the Air.
My next two NAS will be Synology. And never again Seagate.

Wow... This is truly pathetic.
Seagate - Don't even make any mention of TimeMachine support on your boxes unless you're going to TRULY support it. This is what DEVELOPER PREVIEWS are for!!!
This is the last straw. My NAS 220 has given me nothing but headaches and lackluster performance from day one. There's no reason why it should take 3-4 months to develop a firmware update for an OS update that has been available to developers for months now.
I'm going to just rip the hard drives out of my 220 and use them for some other purpose. I'm going with Synology's solution.
Get your act together, Seagate.

Huh? Why was my last post tagged as a solution? I didn't indicate anywhere that it was a solution when I posted it unless, of course, you consider ripping the drives out of the BlackArmor NAS and putting them into a Synology NAS a solution.
Actually I take it back... This IS a solution ![]()

Why is this post marked as solved? When I click on go to solution it doesn't bring me anywhere?

So, my NAS is at ebay for sale.
First and last Time Seagate NAS.
There is no answer from the support and nothing. My Synology arrives tomorrow and the the next NAS will all be from synology. I am not so important for Seagate ...
Seagate, you will see what u get ![]()

Has anyone tried the procedure mentioned by capaho in this thread:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4140132?start
From the thread:
"I solved the problem with my QNAP by first connecting to the network drive and logging in so that it mounted on the desktop, then selected it from Time Machine Preferences. Now it works as before."
Anyone try this with the BlackArmor NAS?

This wont work, because the BA NAS has an extra Volume for TM. Mine called NAS_2TB Backup and i cant connect to it. When TM is told to save on this Volume it will be mount. But when TM wants to start the backup, the volume isn´t available.
It only can be fixed by seagate with a firmware update.
