Re: Mkv-files does'nt show up

.Mkv files are supported with the NAS:

How are you viewing them through the TV, are you using a special program? Are you able to open and view them from your computer?

Usually when video files don't play it's due to a codec issue. Have you tried re-encoding the files with a different program to see if they can be played at that point?

Did you set up the BlackArmor NAS according to these instructions?

Re: Mkv-files does'nt show up

Hi.

I have no problems viewing the files on my computer, picttures, musik and different kind off movie formats.

At my tv i use the buildin  software for watching movies: Samsung smartTv and there are no proplems watching f.ks. .xvid or .avi files.

It says that mkv-files are supported, but is it only a subset of kmv-files that are supported?

The setup off my nasserver can be seen at the atachment.

Re: Mkv-files does'nt show up

All symptoms you're describing point to a codec issue. Please use a different program to create the movie file, then see if it's now playing.

It would be good at this point to discuss the .mkv file issue live with one of our technicians. Please visit this page for contact information:
