Hi blackarmour,
how did you manage the active mode set up with Firefox? As I far as I know, investigated and tested, Firefox does not support active mode.

Hello, will there be a fix for not supporting passive ftp in the next firmware? In a former release this was supported, and now not?
Its just because when passive ftp is disabled in windows, you can't access some ftp servers in the internet, so basically in terms of the NAS's warranty this can be equated to a abatement of the purchase price as the product does not perform within its specifications.
Also the slow NAS transfer speed when using SMB is really not ok. The problems definitely belong to the NAS.

Seagate BlackArmor NAS110
Firmware Version 1000.1221
Built on Fri, 19 Aug 2011
From a non-local network, FTP access functions normally.
From a local network, the following error:
FTP Folder Error
An error occurred opening that folder on the FTP Server. Make sure you have permission to access that folder.
Details:
200 Switching to ASCII mode.
550 Permission denied.
I have opened a support case with Seagate (Ticket #2226721) and have been assured that their engineers will attempt to reproduce the issue and resolve it with a firmware update. I'll update this post soon to let everyone know what their response is.

Any news?
Solutions?
I can log in with WinXp from my home network.
Through internet with Win7 I get the 200 and 500 error, both on active and passive ftp mode.

Come on did anyone solved this problem?
I can not connect by browsers or explorer. When using filezilla I can connect but I need to connect through explorer.
