Hi,
I've got an NAS440 on a Windows 2003SBS network, and we've been having the above error and failure to connect. We've been able to work around it by rebooting the NAS, but now we're getting this every time. BA Discovery shows the device, but it gives the same "No Process" message when you click on the "View Drive Details".
My question is, if I install the Discovery software on a standalone computer and hook up the NAS to that (using a "workgroup" home network), will I still be able to access the files currently on the NAS?
Thanks much in advance for your help.

Which firmware version do you have installed on the NAS? It should be running 4000.1311:
If you directly connect the NAS to a standalone system, you should be able to get to your data.

I am trying to access my NAS from a Windows 2003 Server from the run line using \\nasname\share and I am getting this same error. I'm not running SQL on this NAS or this server.
I have a 2nd 2003 Server that is able to access it just fine.
I have upgraded to the latest firmware.
Any ideas?
