My network is super slow and backups take 20 hours to complete using the Black Armor. Generally I have super fast (275M to 325M) network speeds. I have a Cisco N++ Dual Band/Gigabit Port router. The 1T Black Armor is connected directly to the router's gigabit port. I have another external Seagate 500G freeagent (which has been awesome) connected to the Black Armor USB port.
Does anyone know how to improve the performance of the Black Armor?
THanks!!

Hello,
Are you using BlackArmor Backup software backing up a Windows client to the NAS or are you doing a NAS to USB backup to the Freeagent drive connected to the NAS using the NAS's Manager Admin page?
There are no adjustments for performance for the BlackArmor NAS.
If you are using BlackArmor Backup (by Acronis) when creating a Backup Job there are some Backup Options.
The Network connection speed option by default is set to Maximum. Reducing this will probably slow the backups down but may free up some network bandwidth.
You may want to setup a Backup Job doing less full backups but with more incremental s. A large full backup can take a long time but once it has been done incremental s are doing only changes since the last full backup so they are smaller backups
taking much less time.
If the backup you are referring to is the NAS to USB backup that you setup in the Manager's Admin web page, this is known to be slow.
