BlackArmor NAS Network Storage Server

I was just checking the NAS firmware and according to the release notes 2000.1211 was released Feb. 17, 2011.  Firmware for the 110 and 440 are also updated.

From the release notes they really haven't addressed many of the issues we have discribed here since the last firmware update.

I saw nothing written about the "Power Save" feature being fixed.

Nothing about the FTP features.

So on and So on

Now that they've added the XBox compatibility and Volume Recovery Impovements, what is broken or not tested in this release.

Same Thing I thought with what "Sector" stated - nothing really addressed with what's being discussed on the forums.

One would think that the engineers working on the Firmware would check in and see what the hot issues are.

Post Back something stating "We're looking into this"

Seagate I can understand running a "Public User Forum" and letting the users help each other out, but hey why not use it as resource to see what the Hot Topics/Problems are that we are all experincing with your product.  HELLO!! it's not rocket science it's just good business practice yes??

Tried it, but still no proper support for my tv (it doens't show video files) and let's windows chrash (windows 7). Too bad!

I've tried this latest FW on my NAS110, and all is working well. It does indeed fix the Power Save feature that got disabled in the previous update.

I can also confirm that the HDD standby bug is fixed in this latest firmware on my 110 nas.

I am going to install the firmware upgrade and hopefully, as reported, it will at least fix the "Power Save" feature. I will report back also.

I truely was hoping for a FTP fix also.

Regarding the "empty directories" problem with DLNA, did you try it again after a couple of time (or next day) ?

In my case, scanning all directories really took long time. Scanning of directory is done if ".tb" hidden sub-dir is created.

And audio is sorted into "album", not shown like directories structure on the disk.

PS: Because I could not access the disc with the admin program (BlackArmor not found) with the new firmware, I now access it through IExplorer (using the network IP adress).

I installed the firmware on my NAS110 and the "Power Save" is fixed, although any LAN activity starts the drives up again whether I am accessing the NAS or not.

Other than that I see no real improvement, other than fixing what was broken on the last firmware update.
