New windows 2011 SBS installation, I have connected the Seagate black amour unit. Connected to domain successfully, but I can access the shares, I have tried the following Reset Domain Detail, Changed to Static IP, Changed LAN settings, Changed device name & reconnected to domain now when I did this I could see the shares but it didn't transfer the permission from AD, and wouldn't let me add them, nor could I reboot NAS, add new shares. I then tried removing NFS from shares but would let me do that either. What can you suggest I try now?

I'd like to start with some basic questions to see if this can be resolved.
- What firmware version is installed on the NAS?
- Have you rebooted the network?
Have you taken a look at this troubleshooter:
Once the box is synced with AD you'll want to access folder share permissions to view the users. From here you can grant access to shares.
