No gigabit connection to the NAS PLEASE HELP before I will rip the d... thing appart

Hello all.

I have now tried and tried and tried to get something good out of my BA NAS 220 but to no avail.

The disapointment is really big with this nas, and if Seagate dont soon do something it will be the last time I will purchase a Seagate product.

Problems.

1.  No gigabit connection between Win7 and NAS. That is even though that my computer states that there is giga connection.

2.  Until now havent found a solution regarding moving files around internally on the NAS without the files going back and forth to the        computer.

If there are any who have some solutions here I would be MOST appreciative for all the help I can get.

Re: No gigabit connection to the NAS PLEASE HELP before I will rip the d... thing appart

Hello,

Are you using a straight-through or cross-over cable between your Computer and NAS? You say your Computer is stating a Gig connection so do you have it set to auto/auto or forced 1G/Full-duplex? Also,  you are going host to host so you will need a cross-over cable. Hope this helps!

Thanks,

MA
