Hi newbe just signed up to the forum today as I have been having a few issues with this NAS.
I have also just run into this issue and can't delete these pesky .fb folders.
Over the years as a family we have acquired thousands of photos. When I took delivery of this NAS I copied all our pictures off various laptops, PC's and phones into the recommended \Our Pictures folder. As you can imagine this was a mish-mash so I set about re-organising everything. Now I have hundreds of these .fb folders that I can't get rid of.
The whole point of purchasing a NAS was to make our lives easier and more organised.
Come on Seagate you are selling a consumer grade product to the masses. I bought this on your reputation of the fine products that you have produced in the past. I have lost count of the number of Seagate drives I have bought over the past 20 years.
Why on earth would you produce a product that won't let an Administrator delete a file?
The more I have used this product the more disheartened I am becoming with it. This NAS is a complete disappointment and don't even start me on the active only FTP mode, and now I am reading about hard drive click of death failures. I knew it was a bad idea to start reading these posts.
I feel quite faint now and will have to make a cup of tea to calm down!
Please get a grip on these products.

4 those who still having problems... there is a firmware update. I used it for my nas110.
Now I can delete my .tb files. Haven't tested the other normal functions yet... but I guess it's ok.

it's about time... it took them 3 years!!! They knew I had the problem, I even had a "case number" (12/12/2011!!!). They never let me know they had a new firmware update 4 fixing the problem. The nas was set on "auto update", but always saying "no update available". Luckily I found it by searching...
Last thing I bought from Seagate!
