Hi all, I have a Seagate BlackArmor 110 drive acting as a file server on a small workgroup network (5 Windows XP/7 computers). The drive is mapped as a network drive (Z
with admin rights on all PCs. For some reason all the computers lose the connection to the drive random times and usually gives an error such as this:
The error is titled
"Restoring network connections
\\NAS\Data
Microsoft Windows Network: The locla device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored"
If I ping it continuosly it is clear the the time=XXX ms is increasing dramatically and the drive starts to timeout... Then goes back to normal. (see screenshot)
I upgraded the firmware last week and the problem temporarily went away now it is back. Any other suggestions?
