big problem with Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 NAS-Server RAID5

Dear,

i am using an Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 NAS-Server. It's configured as an RAID 5 (4 x 2 TB)

When i was on vacation i turned power off. After that (two weeks) the NAS can't find the raid volume.

The configuration says error (no volume found) but the HDD's are all ok! The rebuild button is not seen!?

Now i tried to rescue using a recover software (all HDD's in my PC). Until now without success.

Did anybody have an solution or a hint?

Thanks a lot!!
Best regards

Re: big problem with Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 NAS-Server RAID5

Have you tried resetting the NAS? There's a pinhole button located on the back of it and if you press it for at least 30 seconds it will reset the NAS and with it its network settings.

What type of data recovery software did you use? With these drives, you'll need something that's capable of reading EXT file systems.

Which firmware version do you have installed on the NAS? It's always a good idea to run the most current one. If you don't have this one already, you can download it from here:
