hi guys, here is my situation:
in the office, we have SEAGATE BLACKARMOR NAS 4D connected to switch & has a static ip of "192.168.1.251" & hostname of "BA-NAS".
our workstations are part of same domain in same network. one of our workstation which is a laptop & belongs to our GM unfortunately
cannot browse the NAS drive using the hostname \\ba-nas . a message will appears saying that the following drive is not accessible.contact your... blablabla
still he can browse it using its IP \\192.168.1.251
also, he can access the NAS drive from the IE browser using either its hostname or its IP address. http://ba-nas or http://192.168.1.251
i can also ping the NAS drive using either its hostname or its IP address with succeed reply.
why, in the hand of gosh, i cannot browse the drive using its hostname?? ( the drive appears in the network)
Please help !!!
