Using Windows 7 x64. The Black Armor NAS is attached to the router. I see this message often:
An error occurred while reconnecting T: to
Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored.
I believe it is related to sleep mode. It appears to be benign, since I am able to go out to the command line and do this:
and get a file listing.
Is there a setting that will correct this situation?

I'm also having exactly the same problem. Was doing a back-up, BlackArmor froze half-way, haven't been able to map to it ever since. Have reset router. Another computer on same network (that wasn't involved in the back-up) is having the same issue. I can also see the files via the command line, and can access the BlackArmor remotely via internet.

This is a real problem for Windows clients. I set this up at a friends house and they have to powercycle the Black Armor 220 NAS practially every day -- not good. Here is my setup and some things I tried:
Black Armor 220 NAS
Toshiba laptop running WinXP Home Edition
Service Pack 3
DDWRT Wireless Router directory connected to NAS
NAS has static DHCP reservation for NAS of 192.168.1.2
Opening up mapped network drive I get "The local device name is already in use" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890413)
Using Black Armor Discovery utility I get "No server found on your network"
Cannot connect via web browser to 192.168.1.2
Ping to 192.168.1.2 works
I can access via web browser
Using Black Armor Discovery finds NAS
Mapped drive works
Updating to firmware sg2000-2000.1331 now to see if that helps.
