I had two seagate BARRACUDA ES 7200-RPM S ATA 500 GB (ST3500320NS) in RAID 1
Unfortunately one of them broken. It was on warranty and seagate substitue it immediatly.
Now I have a question: BEFORE running raid 1 again I would like to check the integrity of the other disk (the old one)
At this moment I haven't the operating system installed.
My idea is to running one live linux distro and check the hard disk status with "seatools_gui"?
Is this right?
Could someone tell me if this solution is fine?
