Hello, first i need to sorry for my bad english, because i'm not very good at it. Ok, yesterday i've got my new 1TB st1000dm003-9yn162 (Firmware: CC46). I have installed on it Windows 7 64bit an everything was ok. OS was starting perfectly and next i decided to install drivers for my graphic card (ATI RADEON HD 6770). I've used newest drivers from manufacturer site. After reeboting OS i can see only loading screen and next desktop, but nothing else, no icons, no menu, even i cant run task manager. I tryed to install few times windows and other version of drivers but results was always the same. However Safe Mode is working correctly but i cant uninstall drivers nor repair them in safe mode. My graphic card is working good, im using it right now on other seagate hdd (older, borrowed from my friend)
I have checked this hdd with HDTune, HDDScan and some WD aplication and according to them everything is fine :F, what i can do with this?
My computer parts:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
ATI RADEON HD 6770
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003-9YN162
Oh and one more thing, this hdd is using SATA3? Because id dont know why but HDTune is displaying thah its using SATA2. My mobo is supporting sata3 so i dont understand this :/
Can someone tell me what is going on?? And please dont use too much technical vocabulary

Open Windows update and let it find updates for you (assuming you can get to the start menu) then let it re-boot fully without disturbing it and it may well boot fully then, ATi drivers are awful tbh and it's probably them doing it.
Another route if you can get in there is go to device manager and delete the graphic card and re-boot.

We have a program called Seatools for DOS that can perform a low level format that will put the drive back to factory. Then you can try to reinstall your Operating System and the drivers. Here is a direct download link to the Seatools program. You will need to burn this file to a CD and then you will boot to the CD.
The instruction manual is linked below.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

He doesn't need to low level at this stage, he's got a corrupted driver, probably DX11 didn't fully install with the Catalyst's, worst case run Windows set up again a start fresh, your drive is fine nothing to worry about there.

Yup, my drive is fine. I have solved the problem. All the time i was having plugged hdmi and TV and after installing drivers TV was set as the first. And the monitor was extension thats why there was only desktop on it. But its strange because my graphic card was detecting tv onle when it was turned on but nevermind
