Gents n Mods,
Finally Seagate HDD makes me to join this forum.....
I have 3 Seagate HDDs (2 of them are replaced HDDs n 3rd one is about to go ). My Seagate 250 GB hdd (3rd one) suddenly stops working.
This time I am fed up with the Seagate HDD performance . I have very crucial data on my 250 GB HDD that I copied few months back because I was conscious about old HDDs. I badly need my data to be recovered. So if any mod or tech support can assist me how can I recover or get my data back from this HDD, that will be a big relief for me. Details of my 250 Gigs HDD are below:
Fimware: 3.ACCAnswer of few basic questions that I saw in few communities are below:
1) Is the drive detected in the BIOS? NO
2) Is the drive still spinning? (You may need to touch the drive) NO
3) Is your drive making any clicking sound? NO

I will upload it once I will get my star screw driver set...
Quick question for you: if I will remove the circut board out of HDD, does it impact the HDD warranty ??? Currently more than 2 yrs. warranty is remaining.

I just checked and it is not giving any zi zi sound......however I am not a electronic or techie person so I can't even check it with multimeter.
Is there any feasibility if I can change the circuit board of the drive from any similar HDD to backup my data first and then can give it to the service center for replacement. If yes, what should be the requirements and considerations I have to follow
while changing the circuit board ??
Since anyhow I want my data back, any help or suggestions will be highly apprecaited.

gotbackdata website may help you that. but about it can be return or no after change PCB. you should ask seagate service center first.
it will make your drive out of warranty if no on PCB problem. as data recovery had to open hard drive for replacement head take off data if head it crash.
anyway. try PCB first. take similar PCB you need to replacement chip from original PCB with soldering operation. take care with your data.
