Hi!, I bought recently a HD Barracuda 1TB.
But in a few days, Crystal Disk Info and HT Tune gives me this error in one attribute (B8). I've been searching but i didn't found anything about this.
Should I change my HD?
Thanks in advance

B8 is a vendor-specific SMART value. I'd say run SeaTools and see if it complains, since it should know what it is.
If you're still under retail warranty and it fails, I'd take it back to the store and get another one.

Thanks for the answer
I did a complete test with the SeaTools, but it didin't found any problem in the HD. Maybe the HD is OK, but I don't want to lose my data
PS: The HD only have two weeks, it still in warranty.

A client/end user of mine also experienced the SMART or S.M.A.R.T. error "B8" on a HP Elitebook, but with a different hard drive model number. The drive label reads (from top to bottom):
SERIAL ATA DISC DRIVE 160 GB
The SeaTools CD-ROM I have and used in this case returned only the following message:
"Test 1 (Quick) .... Error: UnknownFailureError: UnknownFailure"
When first observed there was an additional number showing on the BIOS-level screen at startup, and that message was "1720-SMART ...". I presume this refers to the drive's firmware revision level and has nothing to do with the laptop itself.
Information posted here for posterity.
