I did that. I find it very strange also I tried it with a different enclosure tonight usb also and it does not work with it. Only works with the Nexstar 3 enclosure.
I called seagate today and they said because it is seen with usb the firmware is not the prob. It shows up in disk manager with usb but if I run Seatools it is not found with usb nor sata

That ***might*** be true. but if you use TestDisk you might be able to find the partition structure. It is worth a shot. I once had a disk that I accidentally overwrote using the xbox file system. Because it was formerly NTFS I was able to recover the entire disk! NTFS keeps two copies of the file table, one at the beginning of the disk and one in the middle. The fact that your computer sees it as NTFS is good. You need to keep a cool head and don't write anything more to the disk without coming up with a game plan. It sounds like your data may be reoverable to me. Check out this program.-
