I have a Toshiba satellite X205-S9349 and it has 2. SATA 120gb hard drives 5400rpm.
What I want to do is change the primary drive for a Seagate Momentus 320gb 7200rpm hdd, p/n. ST9320421ASG.
It looks to me that it should be ok. Can anyone confirm this please and also advise if there is anything in particular I need to do, to ensure that this new primary drive will be recognised ok ??

If you will be installing Windows onto the new primary drive, you will either need to slipstream the SATA controllers on to your Windows install (unless you have a floppy drive on your laptop), or you could disable AHCI in the BIOS. Though some dissaprove of the latter method.
As for recognition the laptop BIOS shouldn't have a problem.
Apparently you can re-enable AHCI after as long as you follow the instructions here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976
I believe it only applies to Vista.
