I have st31000528as HDD and 3 days ago it statred to disappearing from windows "My Computer". Because i had a lot of problems with installing this drive i thought that it was caused by sata driver. Two days ago it strarted to dissapear from BIOS. Had to restart comp few times before hdd was corectly detected. Yesterday (and today in the morning) i get SMART errors during booting up.
IDE1 MASTER: ST31000528AS CC37
Ultra DMA MODE-6, S.M.A.R.T CAPABLE BUT COMMAND FAILED
6th MASTER HARD DISK: S.M.A.R.T Command Failed
press f1 to resume.
After rebooting thee was no error.
I didn't ran seatools but i do it today when back home.
Should i expect disk death or there is solution for this kind of problems?
