Does DiscWizard make old drive unusable/unbootable?

I want to use DiscWizard to make a clone of my internal hard drive to the external FreeAgent drive (just for back-up purposes, not to boot/run the computer). Questions re: DiscWizard:

1. Under Automatic Clone mode, it says "Note that you may have to remove the old hard disc when data migration has completed." Obviously I do not want to do this, given my purpose as described above. Will the Automatic Clone mode render my internal drive useless? How can I avoid having to remove or make any changes to the existing internal drive?

2. When I have successfully cloned my internal drive to my FreeAgent external drive for backup pruposes only, in the future will I be able to use DiscWizard to clone the FreeAgent (cloned) drive to a new internal drive (i.e., the FreeAgent external drive serves as a bridge between my old internal drive and new internal drive)?

Re: Does DiscWizard make old drive unusable/unbootable?

hello ,
if you want to save or create an image in an external drive ,as i remember disk wizard will only create an image to you external drive  (not a clone)of your entire system, and after just use the drive normally ...it  should work without needed to remove it :smileyhappy:
