Hello,
The last message in this subject dates from 2007.
We are now in 2011, is that the tool "MaxBlast" still does not support raid controller?
Just FYI, I always used MaxBlast which was very helpful and much appreciated.
Note that I have a raid5 with 3 disks that I saved and restored several times using MaxBlast.
Recently I lost two disks of this raidset (In fact the 2nd was released by the controller of raidset (Bug), so I wanted to update my BIOS and firmware so ICH9.
I had reveive a new disk and recreate a raid5 volume.
Now since the bios update I can no longer load MaxBlast and I can no longer restore my data.
before update:
ASUS P5E3 motherboard, bios = 1201 (on ecan Bos 1.1.0.L67 =, = V7.5.0.1017 ICH9R)
after update:
ASUS P5E3 motherboard, bios = 1201 (on ecan Bos 1.1.0.L67 =, = V8.7.0.1007 ICH9R)
The "MaxBlast" error message is:
<<< Unable to load Linux Kernel. Press <ENTER> to reboot >>>
Is it possible to have a new version "MaxBlast" including the driver ICH9R Raid?
Thanks in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Olivier.
