I recently bought a new 1 TB internal Barracuda HD for my PC to replace my silly 100 GB HD I was using before. I have it hooked up, it's recognized, it accepts files, everything's fine. Only problem is, I want it to be my main drive. Now normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but the Disc Wizard software isn't allowing me to clone my old drive to my new drive. At first it gave me an error code, I tried troubleshooting a bit on my own and retried about a dozen times after attempting different fixes. I finally defragmented and error checked my C drive, the old one which I want to clone, and now when I try to clone the drive in Disc Wizard, the progress window won't even show up. I'll just choose what drive I want to source from, what drive I want to make the destination, accept the action, then the window goes away and the next step won't come up.
Any ideas?
