I guess I should have checked/trusted product reviews before purchasing this drive. I have bought four 1.5tb freeagent desk drives and one 1.5tb freeagent extreme drive and so far two of the drives have completely died. There is a constant clicking noise and the drives are no longer detected by Windows (tried two machines, same problem). I have always trusted Seagate completely but this is completely unacceptable, especially since this is not an isolated incident (many, many other users are having the same problem as me). Seagate: if you are reading these posts at all PLEASE do something about this. It is unacceptable that your drives die so quickly.
