Can't bring up Seagate Manager, no icon in tray, no recent file back up

I was getting ready to switch out the comp I've been using for another one. I had planned to move the external hard drive as well. Haven't paid much attention to it in a while and didn't notice that there was no icon in the tray. Checked my desktop icons and no Seagate there either. Went to My Computer and clicked on the Free Agent Desktop icon, shown as J drive. Older back-up files came up but no Seagate Manager and no recent back-up files. Checked Disk Management and Free Agent is there, listed as healthy, and has plenty of space available. Then went to Device Manager and it is there also and said to be working properly.

I have powered down the external drive and the computer and powered back up but to no avail. I have also tried unplugging all the usb cables save the keyboard and mouse and then plugged in the external hard drive cable. This effort also did not bring up the Seagate Manager or the icon in the tray. The external drive is on and the yellow band is lit up. Any help in what to try next would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
