I have two destops, one with 3 Seagate HDs and another with 2. I have used Discwizard for a number of years including before the Acronis version to make images of my C drive. I have only once had to use them and restored using the CD boot disc which worked fine.
I have now bought an HP laptop which has a WD hard drive. I therefore bought a Seagate external drive and have made an image of the laptop Cdrive using Discwizard and also made a boot disc. However on testing the boot disc I find it will not recognise the presence of the Seagate drive externally and stops booting. I guess I can still restore using Discwizard within Windows (Vista), but it would be nice to be able to do it from the boot disc too.
Any way round this?
