I recently purchased the FreeAgent 1TB USB Extrenal Drive - It has been working fine, but once it was installed I started having problems with other devices. The USB printer works fine until I connect the drive, the only way that I can use the printer again is to re-boot off the computer. The same with my digital camera, once the drive is connect the camera is no longer recognized. I have tried using differnt USB ports (front and back). I have tried reassigning the drive designation on all three devices.
A secondary problem - If I attempt to boot the computer with the drive plugged in the computer will not boot, it make it to a screen that say intel processor inside and stops - I have to unplug the drive and then then computer boots with no problems..
I have run out of ideas to try so any help would be appreciated.
