Please help! My 500gb free agent desktop external hard drive is completely dead. No light indicator, no sign of any power at all. Please help!!!!

Assuming your AC adapter is OK, then, if your data are more important than your warranty, remove the drive from its enclosure and connect it directly to a SATA port on a desktop machine.
